Our verdict
Epic's storefront is best known for handing out free titles on a weekly rotation, which makes it worth a regular visit even if you buy elsewhere. It is also the home launcher for Fortnite, Rocket League and Fall Guys. The client is simple to learn, but social tools such as reviews and community hubs are thinner than on the market leader, and the overall catalogue is smaller.
What works
- Free games to claim on a weekly schedule
- Launcher for Fortnite, Rocket League and Fall Guys
- Large seasonal sales
- Clean, uncluttered client
What to weigh
- Community features are limited
- Smaller catalogue than the market leader
